Srila Giri Maharaja – “Good for Sripada Paramahamsa Maharaja”

Dear Sriman Uddharan dasa Adhikari,

My dandavat pranamas to Your Grace.

I just read your news about the Indian Maths (included below my signature).

Good for Sripada Paramahamsa Maharaja, Sriman Mahadeva and those others who have realized their grave errors in opposing Sripada Acharya Maharaja as the rightful heir to the Navadwipa Math and the Indian group of Maths and are now working to remove Sripadas Nandana Maharaja and Chaitanya Giri Maharaja who, according to Srila Govinda Maharaja, they left Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s sampradaya when they went outside of it to take sannyasa from Srila Puri Maharaja.

Paramahamsa Maharaja and associates seem to have realized on their own, and by Srila Gurudeva’s grace, that their actions were inappropriate. Contrast that with Sripada’s Read More...

The following is an email correspondence concerning the subject –

“Books locked up?”

The email I just sent responding to information on sending books to Croatia makes me think Acharya Maharaja & company no longer have access to all the books Madhusudana Maharaja kept locked up for so many years demanding full retail price, regardless of the quantity ordered.

Since anti-party 3 (AP3) (see footnote below signature) has control of the (Nabadwipa) Math, I expect they also have control of all the books stored there.

Maybe they would sell us large quantities at a reduced price?

But would we trust them to actually send us the books we ordered/paid for???

A recent email sent to Srila Giri Maharaja –

Dear Srila Bhakti Kanan Giri Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

Jai Srila Gurudeva!

Speaking of whom, did you intentionally avoid posting a notice of our observance today (now yesterday) of his disappearance?

To my shame I forgot to post it.

Lilavati Devi reminded me I hadn’t posted it but by then the day was almost over.

I checked if I had posted last year’s observance but it seems I had not done that either.

I am thinking that as well as a bad memory I have a mental block as I do not find it a happy day to remember.

I remarked to Lilavati Devi that I remember it as the day the world went mad and when the good sense, reason and sobriety of prominent devotees who were ordered by the spiritual master to become acharyas was lost due to the influence of illusion Read More...

“Na Hi Gopyaṁ Hi Sadhūnāṁ – Certainly, No Secrets are to be Kept by Saintly Personalities”

An email from Srila Bhakti Kanan Giri Maharaja to Uddharan dasa –

Dear Sriman Uddharan dasa Adhikari,

Please accept my humble obeisances in remembrance of our Divine Masters.

I hope you will post your excellent email to Sripada Paribrajaka Maharaja, with or without his name. I lean in the direction of including his name because: 1. He is a sannyasi and a guru. As such, his is supposed to be a public life and he should not expect too much in the way of “secrecy”. “na hi gopyaṁ hi sadhūnāṁ— Certainly, no secrets are to be kept by saintly personalities… ”

Vyasa Puja offering from Uddharan dasa & Lilavati Devi dasi

Dear Sripad Bhakti Kanan Giri Maharaja,

Please accept our humble obeisances on this most auspicious day of your appearance in this world.

Rather than any fasting, I will be more pleased if sumptuous prasadam is made available for distribution to all my disciples and friends beginning from eight o’clock in the morning. As told to me by Srila Govinda Maharaja, this was the ideal shown by Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakura when celebrating the appearance days of Srila Bhakti Vinoda Thakura. I will be very happy if my disciples and friends follow the same.—Swami B.K. Giri

We liked this idea very much and followed it as much as possible by us. See below.

Srimati Lilavati Devi made the rice (a mix of 3 types), dahl, and chutney and I made the subji and halavah.

All was made

At the request of Srila Bhakti Kanan Giri Maharaja I recently posted an article by Sriman Jagadananda dasa Adhikari entitled “Correction and Instruction”.
I asked Srila Giri Maharaja if I could also post his Holiness’s reply to his disciple concerning the submission for publication of this article.
I received this reply –

Dear Sriman Uddharan dasa Adhikari,

Please accept my humble dandavat pranamas.

| May I post this reply to your disciple and If so what title should I use?

Srila Sridhara Maharaja has given the answer to your question.

The dissapearance of Om Vishnupada Paramahamsa Srila Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja

On the 24th August 2016 at 07.35am in Navadwip Dharma, West Bengal, India, Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja passed away from this world, causing deep feelings of separation and sadness for those who knew and loved him for his simplicity, humility, faithfulness and unalloyed pure hearted devotion to his beloved Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Dev-Goswami Maharaja.

Sripada Bhakti Prasun Aranya Maharaja was one of Srila Sridhara Maharaja’s earliest disciples, perhaps the very first, and one who Srila Govinda Maharaja noted was always faithful to him (Srila Govinda Maharaja).
